Corporate Social Responsibility

We renovated an existing building in Diemen, just outside of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and transformed it into an eco-friendly office space that boasts an energy rating of A+++. The office for instance has a heat pump, solar panels, and uses rainwater to flush the toilets. We actively separate waste and manage a wormhotel. Located in a business park, we have built a spacious garden designed to stimulate biodiversity, water storage and cooling in the area. Our office is climate neutral, which means that we measure our CO2 emissions, and actively work to reduce and compensate them by investing in CO2 reduction projects. We passionately restore buildings to their former glory while making them more sustainable. When opening new stores we aim to reuse as much of the existing building and add as little new material as possible. We aim to work with building materials that are non-toxic, recycled, renewable or removable. We actively separate waste in our stores and print as little as possible. Our stores are also climate neutral, which means that we measure our CO2 emissions, and actively work to reduce and compensate them by investing in CO2 reduction projects. We care about our employees. We support their (personal) development with annual training budgets; offer a healthy vegetarian lunch and bike plan; and support the causes our employees care about by doubling their donations to charities of their choice.
